An Asymmetrical Evening

This grand celebration open to all will be a night to remember. Both the Bloch and Nelson-Atkins Buildings will be pulsing with energy and excitement as attendees explore the inaugural featured exhibitions Manet to Matisse: Impressionist Masters from the Marion and Henry Bloch Collection and Developing Greatness: The Origins of American Photography, 1839 to 1885. New contemporary, African and photography galleries will be open alongside the new Isamu Noguchi Sculpture Court and the breathtaking European, Ancient, American, Asian and American Indian collections.
Special delights will be available to ticket holders at the Benefactor level from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. including access to stored Museum treasures, curators in galleries, a champagne reception, dinner buffet, valet parking and more. In addition, a special Benefactor’s retreat will be available throughout the evening and Benefactors will receive a Manet to Matisse exhibition catalog and commemorative Bloch Building book.
Beginning at 8:30 p.m. Patrons and Benefactors will indulge in sumptuous buffets, dazzling cocktails, live music and dancing with the Karen Davis Project in Kirkwood Hall. A farewell demitasse will await guests as they depart the evening bathed in the soft glow of the Bloch Building. A beautiful commemorative book will be provided exclusively to attendees on June 2.
