This richly rendered tinted drawing exemplifies the great skill of the master artist Govardhan.  Here, a singer and musician perform seated outside of an encampment, while a man with a caged bird and a blind mendicant listen.  The figures are rendered in a highly naturalistic manner, with careful shading and individual detail.  The artist also depicts activities in the deep distance, including a cart pulled by horses, a group of resting camels, and two massive elephants working with their handler.
