While it is easy to be drawn to the finest of the paintings in this exhibition, the outstanding examples of calligraphy and the painted borders are also worthy of study.  Here, an elegant page of text is set between multiple borders painted in opaque watercolor and gold.  The outer border depicts a mountainous landscape filled with lush flowers and greenery and inhabited by wild animals.  Deer, foxes, and peacocks are stalked by a tiger, at the top of the page and a lion at the bottom.  This border was designed to match an opposing page, making the entire layout a superior example of album design.
