Have a Picnic
The Park is a perfect setting for a family picnic! Bring a basket, or purchase seasonal fare from the Museum Café. Throughout the afternoon listen to live music by some of Kansas City’s best jazz artists.
Make Art
Art-related activities include a watercolor painting demonstration by Paul Jackson, a watercolor sketching adventure for children led by Park Ranger and artist James McGill, puppet-making activities with Stone Lion puppeteers and 3D art activities for children ages 3 and up.
Paint Your Thumb Green
Experts from Powel Gardens, Kansas City Community Gardens and the Westport Garden Club will share gardening tips and lead hands-on activities for children and adults.
