Sedum ‘Autumn Joy’

Character: herbaceous perennial
Ultimate size: 15”-18” height x 15” spread
Flower: pink to red to bronze; September/ early October
Fruit: none
Fall color: green leaves with red to bronze flower

Also known as “stonecrop,” this perennial is drought tolerant and is a favorite in rock gardens. A butterfly magnet, this sedum produces leaves in whorls and flower clusters in yellow, orange, red or pink.

Location in the Sculpture Park

Autumn Joy Sedum was introduced to the Sculpture Park with the Bloch Building expansion, and can be found in the long flowing planters along the upper east side of the building. It is noted for its rich green color in spring and summer, and its distinctive red to bronze fall flower color.
