Rockhill Road on the east side of the Nelson-Atkins reopened today after being reduced from four lanes to two lanes for the last four years due to construction of the new Bloch Building.
The sidewalk along the road also reopened, allowing a closer look at the building.

Preston - Museum policy does not permit staff to provide appraisals or appraiser recommendations. Some national appraisers’ organizations have local appraisers as members. You may want to call the American Society of Appraisers at 703.478.2228, www.appraisers.org. I hope this helps.

The Bloch edition is wonderful. It is both funtion and beauty. It creates more opportunties to look at the beauty of the old building. The vast space creates a comfort zone for wheelchair people. I appreciate the Nelson for not placing signs around the grounds of the Nelson warning people of what not to do.

I absolutely loved the new addition. I had never been to the museum but did so when visiting a relative. With a background in architecture and interior design I had a great appreciation for the architecture and the space as a whole. I was very impressed with the display of contemporary art but more so loved the asthetic appeal of the structure and space itself!!
