Like all art, Modern and Contemporary Art reflects artists' individuality, creativity, and response to the world around them. However, it might be the collection that elicits the most opinions--so come look deeply, debate, and share your ideas!
The 1933 Nelson-Atkins Building contains modern European art from 1900 to 1945; the adjoining Bloch Building contains contemporary American art that was created from 1945 to the present. The Tour Scheduler will schedule a tour that addresses art in both buildings, unless otherwise specified in the "Special Requests/Comments" section of the online request form.
