Created for teachers and youth serving professionals, the Educator Resource Center contains a wide array of books, Created for teachers and youth serving professionals, the Educator Resource Center (ERC) contains a wide array of books, Art Connection Kits, videos and other materials.
ERC staff offer a variety of FREE services from Curriculum Consultations to Professional Development sessions. This community resource is the place to discover how the Museum’s collection can support and enrich your classroom activities.

Curriculum Consultations
Want to incorporate objects from the Nelson-Atkins collection into your next unit, but don’t know how?
Individuals or teams of teachers can schedule a consultation with ERC staff to develop strategies for incorporating Museum collections into classroom curriculum.

Professional Development Workshops
Want to schedule a dynamic and engaging event for your next professional development? FREE morning, afternoon or all-day sessions are available Wednesday through Friday and can accommodate up to 45 people.
The ERC team will work with you to provide a customized event. Following an orientation in the Educator Resource Center, your event can include:
- Gallery activities that connect Museum collections with your specific needs
- A docent-led tour
- Inspiring take-home resources and activities
