A mosaic can never be completely recreated, however, that is where the magic lies. My work represents life and how it can vary from being absolutely perfect to being a chaotic mess. On its own, a single image may seem insignificant, but when combined with the rest, it creates a beautiful piece. Drawing my influence from David Hockney, my work offers the viewer a new way to see life through photography. A photograph doesn’t have to be a rectangular box; it can be any shape you want it to be. Like life, we often get stuck in preconceived notions and only when we break free of them will we create true meaning in life and in art.
