2013 | Claire Marley

We wander around with the dog, everyone smoking cigarettes and instead of thinking about what we want to be when we grow up, we think of what we are going to settle to be. We talk about leaving or maybe staying, tossing rocks into the still black water. There is a quiet kind of boredom found in waiting, not knowing. I capture this teenage ambivalence, to be old and young all at once.
