Art is Elementary - B

Welcome to the museum! Skilled Docents will introduce students to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art collection through participatory activities and inquiry-based conversations. Students will build comfort in the museum environment, practice looking at and talking about art and will forge personal connections with artwork.

This tour is available in two iterations: Art is Elementary-A and Art is Elementary-B.

Art is Elementary-B will introduce students to the Bloch Building as they investigate modern and contemporary works, as well as the African collection.

-Contemporary Sculpture

Appropriate for grades: 3rd–5th

Maximum Size: 120 students – Tour Scheduler will split groups over 60 between A and B versions.

School tours are FREE and one hour and 15 minutes in length. Galleries visited are subject to change based on availability.
