Write Way to Art - American Collection

In this tour, students will hone their visual observation and critical thinking skills while engaging in writing activities. Skilled docents invite close looking through Visual Thinking Strategies and facilitate genre or persuasive writing through creative prompts. Docents will use the American galleries as the backdrop to this exciting experience. Teachers may indicate specific curricular needs or focus areas on the tour registration page.

Grades 3–5 will engage in an expository writing activity; grades 6–12 will engage in a persuasive writing activity. This activity is highly encouraged for ELL students and worksheets are available in Spanish and French for foreign language students. Please note that the tours are delivered in English.
