The Ford Learning Center opens doors to the Museum’s unique asset: its outstanding collection of art.
Innovative programs and classes in this remarkable facility — available to all ages — further the Nelson-Atkins’ reputation as a national model for museum-based education. This beautiful setting is fertile ground for the imagination and includes seven renovated classrooms, the Educator Resource Center, a state-of-the-art training room and exhibition space for art by children and adults.
Our unique approach to art education — built around the collections — makes for a learning environment unlike any other in the region. At the Ford Learning Center, direct experience with the world’s great art leads to individual discovery, development, learning and self-expression.
