On June 1, 2010, Marc F. Wilson will retire after 28 years as Nelson-Atkins director and 39 years as a member of the Museum staff.
During his tenure as the Museum’s fourth director, Wilson’s achievements for the Nelson-Atkins have been prodigious. Under his direction, the Museum has acquired more than 15,000 new works of art, created and hosted world-class exhibitions and unveiled the acclaimed Bloch Building expansion.
