The much-anticipated opening of the Bloch Building in 2007 was the culminating milestone in the Museum’s six-year transformation. Now, we have turned our attention to ensuring the permanency of the programs and activities that serve, enrich and engage the communities across our region.
The Museum has launched a $100 million Endowment Initiative to provide the permanent resources to fulfill the promises of our expansion and achieve the goals of the community-driven Strategic Plan.
As an institution relying almost entirely on private support, a bolstered endowment will secure the Museum’s future and connect future generations to the genius of the Nelson-Atkins collection.
We invite you to consider a gift to the Museum’s Endowment Initiative. Gifts of $100,000 and above will be recognized in perpetuity on the Patrons’ Permanent Fund Wall in the elegant Adelaide Cobb Ward Sculpture Hall. Gifts may be designated to support specific programs and activities or may be unrestricted to support the areas of greatest needs.
