William Rockhill Nelson Society

The William Rockhill Nelson Society recognizes those who have chosen to support The Nelson Gallery Foundation through their wills, estate plans or life income arrangements.

Contributions received as a result of charitable planning will build for the future by supporting the programs and activities of the Museum in perpetuity.

By joining The William Rockhill Nelson Society, members will enjoy the satisfaction of knowing their gifts will become a part of our community’s artistic and cultural heritage.

Examples of gifts that qualify the donor for the William Rockhill Nelson Society membership include the following:

  • A bequest
  • Designating The Nelson Gallery Foundation as a beneficiary of an IRA or retirement plan
  • Naming The Nelson-Atkins Museum as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy
  • Naming The Nelson-Atkins Museum as a beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust or a charitable lead trust
  • A gift of real estate
  • A gifts of a work of art or artifact suitable for our collections
  • Other planned gifts at the discretion of The Museum.
