The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is located in the center of Kansas City, at 4525 Oak Street, three blocks northeast of the Country Club Plaza.
Entrance to the parking garage is on the west side of the Nelson-Atkins Building on Oak Street. Parking is $5. Museum members park free.
The Kansas City Max route has a stop at 45th and Main streets, approximately two blocks west of the Nelson-Atkins
Public areas in the Nelson-Atkins are accessible to visitors in wheelchairs.
Parking and an accessible entrance for people with disabilities are located in the Museum's parking garage. Accessible entrances directly into the Bloch Building are available on all levels. Wheelchairs are located at Coat Check in the Bloch Building. These are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Elevators are located on all floors of the Museum. Accessible restrooms are located on the lobby level and plaza level.
Groups with special needs may contact the Museum’s Tour Office to inquire about the possibility of adapting a current Museum tour to their special needs.
