Coronavirus Precautions

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art remains closed as we continue to monitor the spread of the coronavirus and consult with health experts. Our focus remains on the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and volunteers.

We know people are longing to see their favorite works of art, and we join everyone in looking forward to being back in the museum soon. Our Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park is currently open for small groups to enjoy. We request that visitors follow Kansas City and Missouri social distancing requirements and recommended COVID-19 precautions.

Meanwhile, our art and stories are still available to inspire and enlighten. Please explore the Nelson-Atkins@Home online activities and resources, and share your favorites on social media with #NelsonAtkinsatHome.

We will announce the Nelson-Atkins reopening date through our website, email, and social media. If you are not already signed up to receive our emails, please subscribe here. You also can stay in touch with the museum by following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Thank you for your support during this time.
