Explore creating prints using the gum Arabic transfer process, a technique with similarities to lithography. Utilizing black and white photocopies as a key element, each print represents multiple layers of drawing, collaging, stamping, masking and overlapping. Students will learn how to appropriately use the printing press, pull a successful print and register their prints for multiple pulls. Class will sketch in the galleries and outside in the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park, weather permitting, to develop imagery for their prints. All materials provided.
