Atkins Auditorium

Kansas City’s community Semaradana gamelan ensemble celebrates its 15th Anniversary with the group’s founder, I Ketút Gedé Asnawa, his wife Putu Oka Mardiani and twin daughters Yunirika and Yonitika. Also joining the group will be students from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and members of the Indonesian Community of Kansas City. The program will include several dance numbers: Sekar Jagat, Cendrawasih, Gopala and a fragment from the Ramayana “The Abduction of Sita”. Also included will be instrumental works Tabuh Gesuri and Samvartaka.
