The Sacred and the Secular: European Art from 1100 – 1700 

This four-stop tour will introduce learners to four different periods of European art from 1100 to 1700. Exploring Medieval through Southern Baroque art, students will understand that art is a reflection of the time and place in which it was made and learn how artists use visual elements to communicate messages. The periods covered will include: 

  • Medieval Art 
  • Italian Renaissance Art 
  • 17th-Century Dutch Art 
  • Southern Baroque Art
